Earnings: From £17.83ph up to £52.20ph

Class 1 Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, Asda as a Class 1 Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership in Asda, Lutterworth. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities :

· Delivering both chilled and ambient loads stored in cages or palletised

· 1-3 store deliveries , this can be ambient or chilled loads

· Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.

· Drivers must drive as per ASDA professional standards which you will be coached and trained on

· Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement

· Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

· Daily and Weekly Bookings

· Various start times available AM and PM

· Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must

· Weekend only work available

· Full time and part time opportunities

Benefits & Pay Rates :

· Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks

· Double pay on Bank Holidays (up to £52.20ph)

· Increased holiday entitlement once first 12 weeks is completed

· Overtime after 45 hours, paid on weekly basis

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD £20.71ph & Overtime £28.47ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD £22.34ph & Overtime £30.09ph

Days 06:00-14:00 : STD £19.42ph & Overtime £27.35ph

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD £23.02ph & Overtime £30.95ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD £24.96ph & Overtime £32.88ph

WK 27 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Days 06:00-14:00 : STD £20.57ph & Overtime £28.50ph

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD £24.81ph & Overtime £32.09ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD £26.10ph & Overtime £34.03ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

· Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)

· Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months Class 1 driving experience

· Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential

· Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)

· Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation

· Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
