Rapier Employment are currently recruiting Class 1 drivers to join our well-established company based in Oxford. The company will be relocating to Bicester as of August 2026.

This is a great opportunity for drivers to play a key role in delivering excellent customer service. You'll be working in a fast-paced logistics environment and will be responsible for ensuring goods are transported safely to all customer sites.

Shift options available - If you are looking for Monday to Thursday working pattern with occasional Fridays, or looking for a day or two through the week, this could be ideal for you.

Hours: The company currently run morning, afternoon, and evening starts. Morning starts may involve early afternoon starts currently due to high demand on mornings. This can change once they have relocated in August.

About the role:
  • Trunk work - No loading or unloading required, meaning you can focus more on driving.
  • Supervise loading - Ensure goods are securely loaded ready for transport.
  • Delivery details - Confirm delivery details with customers and obtain signatures on all required documents.
  • Technology - Use company-issued technology such as tablets as part of daily operations.
  • Vehicle checks - Complete daily vehicle checks and report findings to site.
  • Company policies - Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety.
  • Responsibility - Take responsibility of your vehicle to minimise damage. Ensure the cab is also left clean and tidy.

About you:
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence - must have held C+E for a minimum 12 months
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
  • Valid driver qualification card
  • Valid tachograph card
  • Previous experience in a similar driving role is beneficial
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required
