Class 2 Hiab Driver Builders Merchants

Driver Hire Uxbridge are now recruiting for HGV Cat C (Class 2) HIAB Drivers on behalf of our client, one of the UK's fastest growing builder’s merchants based in Hayes
 

£20.50 to £24.50 per hour (PAYE, including holiday pay)
Rates vary depending on experience, and overtime

Monday to Friday  05:30am starts daily

Duties of a HIAB Driver:

• You will carry out multidrop deliveries to commercial customers and building sites
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time
• Secure loads correctly using appropriate methods (e.g. strapping)
• Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues
• Carry out routine vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, fluid levels, etc.)
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
• Comply with all road safety and driving regulations
• Adhere to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence held for at least 2 years (maximum 6 penalty points; no DR, DD, TT, IN, or MS90 endorsements)
• Valid HIAB certification
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• Minimum age of 25 (insurance requirements)
• At least 1 year of Class 2 HIAB driving experience (references required)
• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
