CNC Milling Machinist (3, 4 & 5 Axis)

💼 Full-time | £32,000 - £37,500 + Benefits + shift allowance

Day Shift and Night Shift Available

We're looking for skilled CNC Milling Machinists on behalf of our client. Someone, who takes pride in precision and enjoys working on complex, high-spec components. If you're confident running multi-axis machines and want to be part of a quality-driven environment, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing as CNC Miller:

• Setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines
• Working from detailed engineering drawings to produce high-quality parts
• Carrying out your own inspections using tools like verniers, micrometres and gauges
• Monitoring work throughout the process to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Keeping clear and accurate job records
• Supporting machine upkeep and preventative maintenance
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace

What we're looking for as CNC:

• Solid experience with CNC milling (multi-axis preferred)
• Familiarity with Heidenhain controls (essential)
• Programming knowledge is a bonus, but not a deal-breaker
• Experience in precision engineering (aerospace background a plus)
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings confidently
• Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) or time-served
• Someone who can juggle priorities, stay organised, and keep standards high

Why this position:

• Day Shift: 39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm

• Night Shift: 46 hours per week

Monday to Thursday 6:00pm - 6:00am

• £16.80 - £18.64 per hour plus 50% shift allowance on nights
