Ion Tec recruitment is looking to secure the services of a CNC Miller to support a project on a 13-week contract.

This is an immediate assignment with anticipated 60 hours per week that may include shifts.

This a production role setting & operating a Hartford machine with Fanuc controls.

The Role

Production work to high standard and tight tolerances; setting & operating CNC Milling machines - ensuring every component meets stringent aerospace standards. You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality, efficiency, and continuity across production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading tooling to carry out machining operations
• Working to fine tolerances across a range of materials, following detailed work instructions
• Performing visual and dimensional inspections
• Using precision measuring equipment (gauges, verniers)
• Operating one or more CNC machines simultaneously
• Ensuring all products meet customer and internal standards (including NADCAP and AS9100)
• Documenting processes and clearly communicating any irregularities

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a skilled, detail-focused engineer with experience in precision manufacturing

 Essential:

• Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a precision manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred but not essential)
• Strong experience with Fanuc controls
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and strict quality standards
• Experience working to production targets
• Self-inspection with use of hand tools, eg micrometers, vernier calipers
• Flexibility with operational hours
