We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy precision engineering and subcontract manufacturing environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience setting and operating Heidenhain-controlled machining centres and producing high-quality components across a variety of materials. Experience with programming is advantageous but not essential.
CNC Miller - Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating 3 and 4-axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls
- Manufacturing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Interpreting technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
- Carrying out self-inspection using manual measuring equipment
- Making tooling changes and offset adjustments as required
- Maintaining machining quality and production efficiency
- Ensuring a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
CNC Miller - Requirements
- Previous experience operating and setting CNC milling machines
- Experience with Heidenhain controls is essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of geometric tolerances and machining specifications
- Competent using manual inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic programming knowledge would be beneficial but is not essential
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
