CNC Operator

Hourly Rate: £14.89 - £16.06 (depending on experience), with progression through pay grades

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience across CNC machining processes and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines in accordance with company standards and production requirements
  • Maintain strict adherence to health & safety guidelines and 5S workplace standards
  • Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and datum setting
  • Ensure high-quality output while meeting production targets

 

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience working with OSAI CNC controllers (critical requirement)
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles
  • Ability to carry out tool changes and machine setup

Desirable (but not essential)

  • 3-Axis CNC Routing
    • Knowledge of 2D sheet metal components
    • Experience cutting aluminium materials
    • Exposure to VWM / Technos 38 machines

     

  • 5-Axis CNC Machining
    • Experience setting up fixtures and jigs
    • Ability to set tool datums
    • Familiarity with CMS machines

     

  • CNC Punching
    • Machine and tool setup
    • Experience working with materials from 0.6mm to 2mm
    • Experience with Amada machines and Fanuc controllers

     

  • CAD/CAM Software
    • Exposure to Radan, AlphaCAM, or CATIA V5
