CNC Machine Setter – Days & Nights

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machine Setter (Days & Nights) to join our manufacturing team at our Consett site. This role is for an experiance Machinest who already has hands-on experiance in CNC milling experience, precision-driven manufacturing environment.

💷 £51,180 per annum (including 28.5% shift allowance)

Working Hours:  40.25 hours / 4 Shift Pattern / Days = 06:00-18:00/  Nights = 18:00-06:00

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
To produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines.

• Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
• Competently set and operate CNC machines – Mazak in particular
• Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
• To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
• Quality check all finished jobs
• Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.

Core skills/attributes needed:

• Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator (certificates required)
• Experience of Mazak milling machines – 3, 4 & 5 Axis
• Able to interpret engineering drawings
• Aerospace experience
• Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
• Heindenhaim, Mazatrol and Fanuc experience
• Computer literate
• Be able to concentrate to enable quality finished components
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Able to apply good practical skills
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Able to work safely
• Able to undertake shift working, including nights
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination
• Normal colour vision
