CNC Setter Operator

We are currently recruiting for a CNC setter operator on a permanent basis for a client based in Fradley. Ideally, candidates will have experience with CNC Milling (3 or 5 axis) and be open to being trained on special purpose 5 axis CNC machinery. However, candidates are welcome to apply that have a general CNC background and looking to progress their career. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking for progression and ongoing training / support.

Full training would be provided so this is an excellent opportunity to expand your engineering knowledge and experience working within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Time served apprenticeship ideally or required work experience (3 years machining).
• Have a minimum three years CNC machining experience.
• Must be able to use all inspection equipment and read engineers drawings.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Be able to maintain product specifications.
• Inspect all products produced, utilising the correct measuring devices.
• Ability to make machine adjustments and trouble shooting.
• Monitor product quality while manufacturing.
• Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose problems.
• Full knowledge of all tooling required, routine maintenance, and lubrication of all machinery.

Hours of work during training: (6-9 months)

• (Monday to Thursday)
  Monday 09.00 – 19.00, Tuesday and Wednesday 07.00 – 19.00, Thursday 07.00 – 13.00.

weekend shift after training as follows:

 (Thursday to Sunday - 38 hours)

• Thursday 13.00 – 19.00 Friday and Saturday 07.00 – 19.00, Sunday 07.00 to 17.00

Salary - £41-50k per annum dependent on level of experience.
