Location: Rotherham (S60)
Salary: £14.30 to £22.00 per hour (circa £28,000 to £43,500) plus overtime
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Shifts: 3 shift rotation, Monday to Friday. 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am

You’ll be joining a large, well invested manufacturing site in Rotherham, producing precision parts for industries including defence, rail and heavy engineering. The work is varied, the machines are modern, and the expectation is simple. Set it right and run it properly.
What the role looks like day to day:
You’ll be working on vertical CNC milling machines, setting, operating and making adjustments to keep everything running as it should.
This is not a button pushing role. You’ll be expected to understand what you’re doing, read drawings properly, and take ownership of the work you produce.
What you will be doing:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Programming or editing programmes where required.
- Loading materials and setting tools correctly.
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments.
- Inspecting parts to ensure they meet required tolerances.
- Using measuring equipment to check accuracy.
- Troubleshooting issues during production.
- Keeping machines clean, safe and running efficiently.
- Experience as a CNC Setter Operator or Machinist.
- Experience working with Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Confident using measuring equipment.
- A practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Strong attention to detail.
