Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit an experienced CNC Operator  to join their components team.

CNC Operator 
Location: Bradford
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:45pm

The Role
As a CNC Operator / Turner, you will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components in line with technical drawings and production schedules.

You will be working with machines including:

• CMZ TTL66 (FANUC 31HMI)
• Star RNC16 (FANUC 0T)
• Citizen B20 (FANUC)
• Citizen A32 (MITSUBISHI)
• Mori-Seiki AL2B (FANUC 10T)
• Cincinnati Dart VMC (ACROMATIC A2100)

Experience with these specific machines is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures
• Setting tool and work offsets to ensure accurate machining
• Operating CNC machines to produce precision components
• Working to engineering drawings, route cards, and inspection procedures
• Ensuring parts are produced to required quality standards and within schedule
• Carrying out in-process inspection using micrometres, callipers, and other measuring equipment
• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as required
• Performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance
• Completing shop floor computer transactions
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping (5S)
• Supporting continuous improvement and adherence to ISO standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Competent in using measuring equipment such as micrometres and callipers
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible, proactive, and willing to learn
