CNC TURNER LATE SHIFT

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business. This is a permanent late shift position, ideal for a skilled machinist with strong experience using Fanuc controls and working to tight tolerances.

You will play a key role in producing high-precision aerospace components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls
• Machine complex aerospace components to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Select tooling, set offsets, and adjust cutting parameters
• Carry out in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
• Make program edits at the machine where required
• Ensure all work meets strict aerospace quality standards
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision or aerospace environment
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
• Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently
• Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Confident reading engineering drawings
• Skilled in using inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Desirable (but not essential)

• Aerospace industry experience
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards
• Experience with multi-axis turning or live tooling
• Basic CNC programming/editing knowledge
