CNC Turner

Maxwell Consultancy are working closely with an established machine workshop in Ayrshire in their search for a CNC Miller.  This is a full-time, permanent position working in their state of the art workshop in Prestwick.  Working across a 2 shift pattern (early and back shift) with optional overtime available at enhanced rates.  Making vital components for the Aerospace industry.

What's required?

• Time served CNC Machinist or vast experience working as machinist
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineer drawings
• Operating, setting and programming
• Working to tight tolerances
• Low to medium batch work
• Proficient with FANUC or Mazak controls beneficial (training provided)
• Experience working with Aerospace components advantageous
• Working early and back shift
• Subcontract machine shop experience beneficial
• Self-inspection of parts produced, resolving non-conformance issues
• Working towards continuous improvement methods within the workshop
• Doosan lathe experience beneficial
