We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong FANUC programming and precision engineering experience to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set, and operate CNC turning centres with FANUC controls and driven tooling.

Manufacture complex precision-engineered components to high quality standards.

Work confidently on medium to high-volume batch production.

Interpret engineering drawings, job routings, and technical specifications accurately.

Set up and program a wide range of turning and milling operations for both repeat and new components.

Select and apply best-practice machining methods, tooling, and work-holding techniques.

Machine a variety of materials, including standard and exotic alloys.

Maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent component quality.

Use inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

Work effectively within demanding production schedules and multitask in a busy manufacturing environment.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times.

Requirements

Essential

Minimum 10 years’ experience in CNC turning and precision engineering.

Fully skilled in programming, setting, and operating CNC turning centres with FANUC controls.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining processes.

Experience machining a wide range of materials.

Competent using inspection and measuring equipment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

Basic IT skills.

Experience in a high-volume precision manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

Proactive and motivated attitude.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Team-oriented with the ability to support and motivate colleagues.

Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines

Salary & Benefits

£18.00 – £20.00 per hour

6% performance bonus

Overtime paid at 1.5x (basic rate + bonus)

Permanent full-time position

Shift Pattern

Morning Shift

Monday – Thursday: 06:30 – 15:00

Friday: 06:30 – 14:00

Afternoon Shift

Monday – Thursday: 14:30 – 23:00

Friday: 13:00 – 20:30
