This CNC Turner role offers a rare four-day working week, long-term stability, and the chance to work within a highly regarded Aerospace manufacturing setting. If precision, routine, and quality-driven engineering matter to you, this CNC Turner opportunity will feel like a natural fit. As a CNC Turner, you will benefit from:
  • Four-day working week, Monday to Thursday, 39 hours
  • Overtime available on Fridays from 6:30am to 12:00pm, paid at x1.5
  • Core working window of 6:00am to 6:00pm, with required attendance between 8:00am and 4:30pm
  • 195 hours annual leave plus Bank Holidays, equivalent to 25 days
  • Christmas shutdown from 22nd December through to New Year
  • Additional shutdown in May, taken using annual leave
  • Sick pay of 4 hours per day at full pay after one year of service
  • One structured annual pay review per year
  • Employment with a stable, long-established Aerospace manufacturer known for quality and strong staff retention
  • Clean, organised machining environment with modern CNC turning equipment

As a CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components
  • Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
  • Carrying out tool changes and basic programme edits when required
  • Inspecting components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
As a CNC Turner, your experience will include:
  • Proven experience working as a CNC Turner in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC turning processes and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Confident use of measuring equipment such as micrometres and verniers
  • A methodical, detail-focused approach to machining work
