Darlington Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to operate Doosan Puma turning mcahines within a precision engineering environment. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality components to tight tolerances and ensuring smooth, efficient machine operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate, and adjust Doosan Puma CNC turning machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Produce precision components to tight tolerances
- Perform tool changes and basic machine maintenance
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges
- Work independently and manage workload effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner
- Confident operating Doosan Puma machines
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Able to work a 39‑hour week, Monday to Friday
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
