Job Overview for the Coachbuilder
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Coachbuilder to join a busy and well-established bus and coach engineering team in Glasgow
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with strong bus, coach, or automotive body repair experience to work on a modern fleet, carrying out high-quality structural and body repairs following accident damage and wear and tear.
You will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles are returned to a safe, professional, and roadworthy condition.
Key Responsibilities of the Coachbuilder
- Repair and restore buses following accident damage or wear, ensuring full safety and quality compliance
- Carry out structural repairs, bodywork, and panel replacement
- Inspect vehicles for faults, defects, and deterioration
- Complete maintenance and repair work to company and manufacturer standards
- Work closely with engineering and workshop teams to ensure efficient turnaround times
- Safely use tools, machinery, and equipment in line with procedures
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and industry regulations
Key Requirements of the Coachbuilder
- Proven experience as a Coachbuilder / Body Repair Technician (bus, coach, HGV, or automotive background considered)
- Strong ability to repair and rebuild vehicle bodies to a high standard
- Good understanding of materials, fabrication, and repair techniques
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred (not essential)
