We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Communications Specialist to join their Corporate Affairs team.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to work across both internal and external communications within a fast-paced, project-led environment in the construction sector.
š§ The Role
In this role, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality communications content and PR activity across multiple channels and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with internal teams to generate ideas and plan communications activity
- Writing and producing engaging content for press releases, social media, internal communications and website updates
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain approvals and ensure accuracy
- Organising PR opportunities and supporting media activity on live construction sites
- Visiting sites across the North East and Yorkshire to capture content and support PR delivery
- Managing and coordinating LinkedIn and wider social media activity
- Supporting media monitoring activity and tracking coverage and campaign performance
- Ensuring consistent application of brand guidelines across all communications
- Supporting website content updates and uploads via CMS platforms (Umbraco)
š¤ About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- Minimum 5 yearsā experience in communications, PR or marketing
- Strong written communication and content creation skills
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders at different levels
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Experience producing content for social media, press and internal communications
- Confident using LinkedIn as part of a communications strategy
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages
- A proactive, professional and detail-focused approach
A full UK driving licence is essential, along with willingness to travel across regional sites.
Experience within the construction sector is desirable but not essential.
