We are seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance Officer to join a highly regarded Property Services team responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and well-maintained homes across a vibrant London community.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance across a diverse housing portfolio, helping to protect residents and maintain high service standards.
The Role.

As Compliance Officer, you will oversee the delivery, monitoring, and reporting of statutory compliance programmes across all key areas including:
  • Fire Safety
  • Lifts
  • Asbestos
  • Gas
  • Electrical
  • Legionella
You’ll ensure compliance data is accurate and audit-ready, contractors perform effectively, and all inspections, servicing, and remedial works are completed within required timescales.

Working closely with contractors, operational teams, and residents, you’ll help maintain a strong compliance culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and auditable compliance records across all compliance workstreams
  • Monitor statutory inspections, servicing programmes, and remedial works
  • Ensure compliance certification and documentation is correctly recorded and accessible
  • Track contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and compliance targets
  • Identify risks, overdue actions, and compliance gaps, escalating where required
  • Support internal reporting, audits, and regulatory returns
  • Work with residents and internal teams to coordinate access for inspections and servicing
  • Support continuous improvement across compliance systems and processes
About YouWe are looking for a motivated compliance professional with experience within social housing, property services, or building safety.

You will have:
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and building safety requirements
  • Experience managing contractors and compliance programmes
  • Excellent organisational and data management skills
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and challenging underperformance
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach
Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience within social housing property or compliance services
  • Understanding of compliance areas including Gas, Electrical, Fire, Water Hygiene, Lifts, and Asbestos
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety and compliance legislation
  • Level 3–4 qualification (or equivalent experie
