Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Concierge / Receptionist (Hospitality Concierge) to support the Event Manager and Event Co‑ordinator in the planning, organisation and delivery of events and hospitality services.

Job Overview

This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of reception, concierge and event support activities on site. Acting as the initial point of contact, the Concierge / Receptionist will provide a welcoming, efficient and well‑organised service to visitors, colleagues and stakeholders.

Working closely with the Event and Hospitality Manager and the wider concierge team, the postholder will support the effective delivery of events and hospitality services to a consistently high standard. The role requires strong organisational skills, a professional manner and the ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact on site, providing a professional and welcoming reception service
  • Monitor the concierge inbox and manage incoming requests efficiently
  • Receive visitors, notify the relevant host and ensure a positive visitor experience
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs and issue temporary building passes
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of events, including meetings, conferences and social gatherings
  • Help prepare event schedules, timelines and task lists
  • Support event area and room furniture set‑up and breakdown in coordination with the concierge team
  • Support the smooth operation of hospitality services during events

Person Specification

  • Ability to undertake manual handling activities, including event set‑up and breakdown
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Professional, friendly and customer‑focused approach with strong people skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently
