Construction Area Sales Manager

Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of construction machinery and equipment within a designated area. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth within a defined territory
  • Develop new business opportunities and generate leads
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts
  • Promote and demonstrate construction machinery and equipment
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Carry out customer visits and site demonstrations
  • Maintain accurate administration and reporting of sales activity
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven sales experience (ideally construction or agricultural equipment)
  • Strong industry and machinery knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and email)
  • Strong ability to negotiate, influence, and close sales
  • Experience in account management and relationship building
  • Confident conducting product demonstrations
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
  • Experience using Google Maps or similar for route planning
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to maintain a clean, safe vehicle
Additional Information
  • Location: West Sussex, BN6
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week
    • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
    • Additional hours may be required, including weekends on a rota during peak periods
  • Contract: Permanent, Full-time, Salaried
