Construction Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of specialist construction projects within highly regulated environments. This role will involve managing all on-site activities across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and construction packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to a high standard, and within programme.

The successful candidate will have previous experience delivering turnkey projects within sectors such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory or cleanroom environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture across site activities
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
  • Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors across multiple disciplines
  • Chair daily briefings and monitor progress against programme delivery requirements
  • Ensure installation works are completed in line with project specifications and agreed timescales
  • Liaise closely with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders to maintain effective communication throughout delivery
  • Coordinate construction activities covering:
    • HVAC installations
    • Mechanical works
    • Electrical works
    • Specialist cleanroom/laboratory fit-outs
  • Monitor site quality, inspections and compliance documentation
  • Support project reporting, planning and resource coordination
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing turnkey construction projects
  • Strong background overseeing construction, HVAC, mechanical and electrical packages
  • Previous experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory or cleanroom environments is highly desirable
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery
Qualifications & Certifications
  • SMSTS (Minimum Requirement)
  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent (preferred)
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification
  • CSCS Card
