Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are seeking a dynamic Contracts Manager with strong commercial acumen to join their Manchester-based team.



The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the successful delivery of multiple commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects simultaneously.
  • Managing project teams to ensure programmes, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Driving commercial performance across projects, identifying opportunities to maximise profitability and mitigate risk.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Supporting pre-construction and operational teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Monitoring project financials, including cost control, forecasting, variations, and procurement activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and support to project delivery teams.
  • Reporting regularly to senior management on project progress, risks, and commercial performance.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful Contracts Manager will have:

  • Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or workplace projects as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of managing project profitability and contractual obligations.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects concurrently within fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and project controls.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience managing site and project teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant construction qualifications, ideally degree-qualified or equivalent.
