Contracts Manager
Cityscape Recruitment
About the company:
Our privately owned client is a reputable name within the enabling works industry, who pride themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality. Operating primarily as principle contractor, they undertake projects within the commercial sector throughout Zone 1 and Zone 2, with package values ranging up to £10M.
Our client recruits only the best professionals, who are motivated, dedicated and can work with a professional outlook. I would highly recommend this client as they offer an excellent working environment where they encourage professionals to progress in their careers. Furthermore, with a close management team, the business has the ability to offer a real family feel, ensuring that you will be a name rather than just a number within the organisation.
About the opportunity:
Working exclusively, I have been asked to find a Contracts Manager who has proven experience of managing a portfolio of projects simultaneously with packages valued up to £10M in Central London. As projects are carried out throughout Zone 1 & 2, strong planning and programming is crucial due to logistical needs and confined spaces.
As a Contracts Manager, you will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to the Operations Director, and will be responsible for the on-site management of demolition and enabling works projects, ensuring they are managed within time and budget. You will have direct responsibility for all site staff, ensuring they can complete the task at hand. You will have a clear understanding of the value of the contracts and their duration, have a clear understanding of the client, project expectations, and requirements and also you’ll play a key role within their senior management team.
About the benefits and rewards:
For this opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £90,000 - £105,000 per annum; however, specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which includes private health care, pension and travel expenses will be covered. Lastly, you’ll be put through relevant training and refresher courses and progression plans will be discussed and put in place so you have a streamlined development plan for the future.
About the requirements:
Suitable professionals will ideally be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years. This experience should have been gained whilst working for a reputable contractor who undertakes technical demolition and enabling works projects throughout London.
Unfortunately, for this opportunity, only professionals who hold a solid background in Demolition / General Enabling Works can be considered (demolition, substructure and superstructure).
Regarding software, this client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Power Project for planning/programming works, so you will be required to use all these tools.
