Immediate opportunity for an Engineer skilled with both control panel design and PLC software development who is looking for technically challenging projects, modern automation technology and a genuinely supportive engineering environment.

Control Systems Engineer - The Role:
- Design and specify industrial control systems, machine safety solutions, and electrical hardware for bespoke automation projects
- Develop electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
- Create controls architectures and write technical specs & process flow diagrams
- Collaborate closely with Design & Applications Engineers to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery
- Program, test & commission PLC based industrial control systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
- Conduct electrical testing & validation on newly built machines
- Conduct electrical testing and commissioning of new systems
- Support system installation and provide aftercare (minimal UK/international travel – less than 5%)
Control Systems Engineer - The Person:
- 3+ years’ experience in PLC programming and electrical control panel design
- Strong understanding of machine safety standards and electrical regulations
- Solid understanding of industrial communications (Profinet/Profibus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO-Link, etc.)
- Degree in Electrical, Control, or Automation Engineering
- Interest in robotics, intelligent automation or AI-driven automation advantageous

This is an office-based role easily commutable from within and around Reading, Didcot, Swindon and Oxford. Site work is required but will involve less than c5% of tie away from home.
