Are you an experienced Cook / Chef looking for a rewarding role in a friendly, care home setting?
Our client based in Solihull is looking for a Cook / Chef to join their catering team. Initally on a temporary basis with the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Offering a 3 course menu in the restaurant for up to 22 daily covers, and supporting the on site Café.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Operating kitchen equipment safely
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a supportive catering team to ensure smooth service
- Previous experience as a cook / chef in a care home or residential setting.
- Commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards – will can offer Food Hygiene and Food Allergen assessment.
- A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude with good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and willingness to support the wider team
- NVQ Catering, Level 2 Food Hygiene and working experience of Food Allergens and special diets.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Reference checks
- Right-to-work documentation
- Additional safeguarding checks as required
