We are seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a network of secondary schools in the South Birmingham area, primarily within the B45 postcode and surrounding locations.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work.
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
- Support the wider school community where required.
- Previous experience working with young people is essential.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Professional, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must have the ability to travel independently between multiple school sites across the B45 area and South Birmingham. Access to a vehicle is advantageous, although not essential if reliable transport is available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
