The Team & Focus of the Role
As a brand-new role for the team, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Control Administrator to join our Finance division on a 12 month fixed term contract. We are recruiting an organised and detail‑focused Administrator to join our team and support our Credit Control Manager in day-to-day transactional credit activity, whilst being instrumental in data cleansing.
This role would be based in our Ashby office and operates within our hybrid working policy. Hours would ideally be 37.5 a week (Monday – Friday).

Duties will include:
- Ensuring the integrity of customer data on our ERP systems and carrying out data cleansing
- Setting up new customer accounts including checking credit references
- Assist with chasing overdue accounts and resolving customer queries to facilitate payment
- Manage the credit control inbox, issue monthly statements, and process credit notes and help ensure that payments are correctly allocated to invoices
- Supporting the Credit Control Manager with day-to-day transactional credit activity
- Assisting with reporting, Excel work and wider finance administration where needed
The successful candidate will ...
- Be approachable, professional, and confident speaking with clients, mainly on the phone
- Have strong negotiation skills and comfortable handling sometimes difficult conversations in a calm and professional way
- Able to build strong working relationships with internal colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Be well organised, able to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
- Have good attention to detail, producing consistently accurate work
- Be confident in the use of outlook and excel (experience of working with accountancy software be helpful, but is not essential)
