We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join their dynamic Credit Control team on a permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid working environment, a competitive salary of £26,600 per annum, and excellent benefits.
About the Credit Controller Role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, ensuring payment terms are adhered to, and actively chasing overdue payments via telephone and email. You will play a vital role in maintaining positive customer relationships while keeping accounts accurate and up-to-date.
Candidate Responsibilities
In your role as a Credit Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
- Making outbound calls to customers to chase unpaid invoices and recording notes on customer accounts
- Handling customer queries and requests promptly, investigating account discrepancies
- Proactively collecting cash and reconciling accounts to ensure timely payments
- Managing daily and weekly banking processes
- Allocating receipts to individual accounts accurately
- Processing card payments and maintaining records on Excel
- Monitoring credit limits, reviewing new credit applications, and maintaining credit hold accounts
- Releasing orders when payments are received or accounts are settled
- Performing other ad hoc duties as required
To succeed as a Credit Controller, you will need:
- Previous experience in Credit Control
- Strong team player with high attention to detail
- Professional telephone manner
- Knowledge of credit procedures and system management
