Credit Controller

We're supporting a well-established and rapidly expanding premium consumer goods business to recruit a confident and proactive Credit Controller.

You'll join a collaborative finance team where your work will have a direct impact on cash flow and key customer relationships!

📍 Location & Flexibility

• 1 day per week in Rushden HQ
• 4 days remote working

A great balance between autonomy and team collaboration.

You'll manage a £10m-£15m sales ledger, working alongside another Credit Controller, and take ownership of key accounts including major UK supermarket retailers.

DAY TO DAY

• Take ownership of a large, complex ledger and drive cash collection
• Build strong relationships with key customers, including major grocery retailers
• Proactively chase overdue invoices and reduce aged debt
• Handle deductions, disputes, and claims via retailer portals (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda)
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service
• Post and allocate incoming payments
• Produce aged debt reporting and support month-end processes
• Assist with credit risk management and credit limit setting

YOU?

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller (ideally within FMCG or consumer goods)
• Strong SAP experience (essential)
• Experience managing large ledgers (£10m+)
• Familiarity with UK supermarket portals and processes
• Confident handling deductions and disputes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of EDI invoicing and retailer compliance
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
