Firmin Recruit are delighted to be working with our established Cruise Line client who are recruiting for an experienced Cruise Projects Manager to join their friendly and established team.

Hours:  9 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

The Role:

The Cruise Projects Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the process and administration of charter cruises, theme cruises, and ad hoc projects.  The role involves liaising with third parties, clients, and other relevant internal and external suppliers and partners to ensure all aspects of the chartering process are arranged and executed to a high standard.  Responsibilities may also include handling customer inquiries, negotiate rats, and work within budgets. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills are key attributes for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate and deliver all aspects of the charter, including delivery and administration
  • Ensure that project and administration notes are always up to date
  • To work onboard the chartered ship and where needed act as liaison between the ship's management and the charterers
  • To attend meetings and manage expectations where required
  • To assist with "ad hoc" projects within the department and company
  • Track project spending, approve expenditures, and ensure the event is delivered within the established budget.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks to project delivery, ensuring health & safety compliance
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates 
  • Any other duties where reasonably expected

Suitable Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years of managing projects and delivery events and/or charters 
  • Cruise Ship experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills ( French & German language is an advantage but not essential)
  • Must be able to travel and work a flexible schedule ( 5 days over 7)
  • Ability to identify, manage, and solve problems
  • To help create a "can do” culture within all aspects of the department.
  • Full UK Licence and access to your own car as you will need to travel to 7 UK ports.
