Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid break)
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Customer Service Advisor to join a busy and fast-paced Collections Team based in Church Gresley. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a professional telephone manner, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner
- Resolving customer issues and complaints efficiently and effectively
- Acting as the main point of contact for external hauliers experiencing collection issues on customer sites
- Handling challenging situations confidently while ensuring excellent customer service
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, resolutions, escalations, and process updates
- Providing accurate information regarding company services, policies, and procedures
- Gathering customer feedback to support service improvement
- Working closely with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth resolution of issues
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
- 5 GCSEs grade A–C preferred
- Positive and professional attitude
- Upbeat, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
