The Steelpark service centre is the UK’s largest steel distribution and processing centre, supplying coils, sheets and blanks to a variety of customers. The successful applicant will be someone who can work upon their own initiative and is proactive, reliable and a team player.
Role - Customer Service Representative
Pay - £13.33ph
Location- TATA Steel, Steelpark Way, Willenhall, Wolverhampton WV11 3SQ
After training, opportunity to work from home if preferred on X2 days (usually a Monday and Friday)
Shift pattern- Mon-Thu, 08:30-17:00 with a 45 minute unpaid break daily and Fri, 08:30-14:30 (no break)
(37.5 hours per week)
Duration- 6 months initially with the view to extend or transfer into a permanent position
Start - ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)
Responsibilities:

Offering customer support to stakeholders, both internal and external

Building relationships with customers of full accounts to ensure they are fully supported

Being the liaison between customers, Tata Account Managers, Tata production staff and planning staff

Conducting Order entry via internal systems and spreadsheets

Signposting stakeholders in the right direction for queries you are unable to resolve

Providing quotations to customers in a timely manner

Highlighting potential order or supply issues with the customer as they arise

Maintaining an accurate database at all times and master data

Ensuring accurate and full documentation in relation to customer orders, delivery notes and invoices

Recording and resolving customer complaints

Being involved in customer service improvement interventions

Collaborating data into IT systems

Adhering to UK Health and Safety legislation and company policies relating to such at all times
Experience needed:
-
Prior experience in a customer facing administrative role
-
Previous experience working with numerical data
-
Capacity to operate with minimal supervision
-
Strong IT literacy skills with MS Office
-
Experience with in house IT systems (SAP and/or Stratix would be an advantage)

Confident telephone manner
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Ability to confidently negotiate, have difficult conversations and handle objections effectively
