Are you an experienced customer service professional with a passion for international trade and export operations? We are working with a well-established business to recruit an International Customer Service Executive to join their busy and collaborative team. This is a varied and rewarding role offering real ownership of a portfolio of global and UK accounts.

The Role

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of international and UK customers, managing orders end-to-end from processing through to final delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating international documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting Sales Managers - all while delivering an exceptional level of service.

Key Responsibilities - Customer Service Executive

  • Manage a portfolio of international customer orders, acting as the primary contact from order processing through to end delivery, including the preparation of international documentation such as Customs & Excise paperwork.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance across export activity and the effective global movement of goods to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Manage UK customer orders, liaising with internal teams including Operations and external haulage and logistics partners to ensure on-time, accurate delivery.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Sales Managers as required.
  • Build and maintain effective third-party and cross-departmental relationships.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Provide cover for similar administrative functions across the business as required.
  • Actively support and contribute to the company's sustainability and ethical trading goals.

About You - Customer Service Executive

  • Proven experience in customer service within an export, international trade, or logistics environment.
  • Solid understanding of customs declarations and international trade documentation.
  • IATA certification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a genuine enjoyment of building relationships.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
