Damp and Mould Surveyor

Hertfordshire | £350-£400 per day | 6-Month Initial Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Damp, Mould & Condensation (DMC) Surveyor to join a local authority housing team in Hertfordshire on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will focus on diagnosing damp, mould and condensation issues across residential properties, managing remedial works, and supporting a proactive approach to property maintenance and resident safety.

• Conduct daily property inspections and surveys relating to damp, mould, and condensation
• Diagnose building defects and identify appropriate remedial solutions
• Produce drawings, floor plans, and specifications for improvement works
• Raise and manage works orders using appropriate systems and procurement procedures
• Supervise contractors on site and ensure works are completed to required standards
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and statutory requirements
• Support proactive block surveys and wider preventative maintenance initiatives
• Assist with service improvement and transformation projects across the DMC service

• Proven experience carrying out damp, mould, and condensation surveys within housing
• Strong knowledge of building pathology and property maintenance
• Experience managing contractors and supervising works on site
• Understanding of health & safety and housing compliance standards
• Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently
