Are you a Data Analyst who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful business insight?
We're supporting a major Yorkshire-based organisation as they continue to invest in their data and reporting capabilities. As part of an ongoing transformation programme, they're looking to appoint a Data Analyst to help drive smarter decision-making through improved analytics, reporting and visualisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, building dashboards, identifying trends and using data to influence commercial outcomes.
The RoleWorking within a highly visible business function, you'll be responsible for analysing large datasets, identifying trends and developing reporting solutions that provide meaningful insight to senior stakeholders.
You'll play a key role in helping the organisation better understand customer behaviour, operational performance and future forecasting requirements, whilst supporting ongoing improvements in reporting, automation and data-driven decision making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Interrogating and analysing large datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Developing dashboards and visualisations using Power BI
- Producing meaningful management information and performance reporting
- Supporting forecasting and business planning activities
- Delivering insight-led recommendations to support strategic decision making
- Working closely with operational and finance stakeholders across the business
- Responding to regulatory, audit and business reporting requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement and data transformation initiatives
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within Data Analyst, BI Analyst, MI Analyst or Reporting Analyst positions.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience analysing large, complex datasets
- Strong Power BI skills and experience creating dashboards and reports
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with a passion for using data to drive business performance
Experience within a large, customer-focused organisation would be advantageous, although this is by no means essential.
