Meridian Business Support is delighted to be partnering with a leading national healthcare provider to recruit an experienced Deputy Home Manager for a well-established care home in Holt, Norfolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NMC-registered nurse with leadership experience to join a highly regarded care provider and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding care. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, support the day-to-day management of the service, and help ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and resident wellbeing.

The Role

As Clinical Deputy Home Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care at all times.

You will take responsibility for clinical governance, quality assurance, and the operational running of the service in the absence of the Home Manager, while providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the nursing and care teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day management and leadership of the home.
  • Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, promoting best practice and high-quality care delivery.
  • Ensure care is delivered in line with CQC regulations, company policies, and current clinical standards.
  • Monitor and maintain clinical governance processes, ensuring continuous improvement across the service.
  • Conduct clinical audits, review outcomes, and implement action plans where required.
  • Oversee care planning processes, ensuring all care plans are accurate, person-centred, and regularly reviewed.
  • Support medication management processes, ensuring safe administration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out pre-admission assessments, risk assessments, and ongoing evaluations of residents’ needs.
  • Mentor, supervise, and develop nursing and care staff, supporting their professional growth and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support safeguarding processes and promote a culture of safety, dignity, and respect throughout the home.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager within a nursing or residential care setting.
  • Active NMC registration and relevant post-registration experience.
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations and clinical governance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams.
  • Experience conducting clinical audits and driving quality improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and referral pathways.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care and improving resident outcomes.

Qualifications
  • NMC Registered Nurse – Essential.
  • Relevant post-registration clinical experience.
  • Leadership or management qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
