Description
Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end NPD projects, from concept generation through to manufacture.
- Design and develop electromechanical products using CAD, supported by FEA.
- Respond to legislative and regulatory changes by driving product updates and redesigns.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and supply chain.
- Support product management activity across new and existing product lines.
- Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture across moulding, fabrication and metal forming processes.
- Contribute to the development of new technologies and product innovation strategies.
Profile
The successful candidate:
- Proven experience driving NPD/NPI projects within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in electromechanical product design.
- Experience using CAD, with exposure to simulation tools such as FEA.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including moulding, fabrication and metal forming.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of product lifecycle and product management.
- Proactive and motivated, ideally looking for a fresh challenge in a highly innovative environment.
- Suitable for both mid-level engineers and more senior individuals (with potential to support junior hires).
