A leading national civil infrastructure contractor has secured a long-term framework in North Wales and is seeking an experienced Construction CRE (CRE-C) to support delivery across key rail projects. With a strong and growing pipeline of secured work across the North Wales region, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering long-term infrastructure improvements. Projects include footbridge upgrades along the North Wales Coast as part of Network Rail and Transport for Wales accessibility programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake CRE-C duties in line with governance and assurance requirements
  • Oversee construction, design, and survey activities
  • Manage design changes, technical queries, and approvals
  • Ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, and subcontractors
  • Review methodologies, temporary works, and site activities
  • Identify and manage risks at the design–construction interface
  • Report progress to the Contractors Engineering Manager

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction CRE within the rail sector
  • Strong civil and rail engineering knowledge
  • Understanding of Network Rail standards and GRIP
  • Experience in design coordination and temporary works
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
