We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major rail infrastructure project based in Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high profile scheme, working closely with project teams, stakeholders and design partners to ensure successful project delivery from concept through to construction.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager within the rail sector
- Previous experience delivering Network Rail projects
- Experience working on Listed Buildings and heritage assets
- Strong understanding of design management processes and project governance
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage stakeholder interfaces
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Able to commute to Bristol on a regular basis
- Manage and coordinate the design process throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure designs are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements
- Liaise with Network Rail, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
- Review and manage design deliverables and technical submissions
- Identify and mitigate design related risks and opportunities
- Support project teams during construction and delivery phases
- £600 per day PAYE
