Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a respected secondary school in the Bridgwater area to recruit a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher, with a specialism in Food Technology.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a committed educator who is looking to join a supportive school environment and deliver engaging, practical lessons that make a real impact.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on Food Technology.

The role will involve:

• Delivering practical, engaging, and creative lessons
• Developing students' understanding of nutrition, health, and food preparation
• Promoting creativity, independence, and problem-solving
• Contributing to a broad and balanced DT curriculum
• Supporting students to develop real-life skills for the future

• ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• ✅ Experience teaching Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4
• ✅ Ability to deliver Food Technology confidently
• ✅ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• ✅ A creative and engaging teaching style
• ✅ A positive, resilient attitude and strong work ethic
• ✅ A team player who contributes to a supportive department
• ✅ A firm belief that all students can succeed
