Do you have confident classroom presence, consistently engaging students of all abilities and background in your lessons and with their assessments?
New to our school network is an established and growing 11-18 academy in need of a qualified Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join them from September. In this role, you will teach across the DT curriculum at KS3 and KS4 with a specialist focus on Resistant Materials. ECTs with good experience in Resistant Materials are also encouraged to apply.
Teachers and leaders at this large secondary school set high expectations for both staff and students, promoting academic excellence across all subjects and maintaining good behaviour. Though behaviour can be challenging, the school employs a clear behaviour policy with an emphasis on accountability and community. The school has a diverse student and staff population, building positive relationships based on empathy and respect.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have completed your ECT or NQT induction
- Have experience working in an 11-18 setting
- Foster positive relationships with your students, setting and maintaining high expectations
- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism
- Communicate clearly and confidently, verbally and in writing
- Hold UK Right to Work
