Duties of a Diagnostic Technician:
  • Servicing, repairing, and diagnosing a variety of vehicle makes and models with precision
  • Conducting MOT tests in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Identifying faults accurately and recommending effective repairs
  • Maintaining workshop safety, efficiency, and compliance with manufacturer procedures
  • Keeping detailed records of work performed
  • Providing excellent customer service and technical guidance to clients
  • Assisting with vehicle repairs and diagnostics to optimise workshop throughput
Requirements of a Diagnostic Technician:
  • Accredited Service Technician qualification (essential)
  • Diagnostic or Master Technician certification (preferable)
  • Proven experience within a main dealer environment
  • Strong diagnostic skills and technical expertise
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
  • A professional, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
