Role: Digital & Hardware Electronics Design Lead – MPSoC & AI Hardware
Location: Hertfordshire (3–4 days on-site; hybrid possible)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital & Hardware Electronics Design Lead to design and develop high-speed MPSoC FPGA and AI hardware solutions. As a Digital & Hardware Electronics Design Lead, you will work on SDR, radar signal processing, and sensor fusion applications, taking designs from concept through full product development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead high-speed digital electronics design as a Digital & Hardware Electronics Design Lead

Develop MPSoC FPGA, DDR/Flash memory, and high-speed serial interconnect solutions

Conduct signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis

Support board-level test and debug using VHDL and C/C++/Python

Collaborate with systems, software, firmware, mechanical, and production teams to develop optimized hardware architectures

Document designs and ensure high standards of technical communication

Mentor and guide other electronics engineers within the team
Experience & Skills Required

Proven experience in high-speed digital electronics design

Expertise in MPSoC FPGA, DDR/Flash memory, high-speed interconnect, SI and PI analysis

Proficiency in VHDL and C/C++/Python for test and debugging

Understanding of DSP concepts for SDR, radar, and optical sensor applications

Strong academic background in electronics or related STEM discipline

Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and drive technical solutions
