Our client is a well established, privately owned Mechanical & Electrical Contractor that has been successfully delivering projects across London for over 50 years. With a strong reputation for quality and long standing client relationships, they have maintained a genuine family oriented culture with the founding members still actively involved in the day to day running of the business.


Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline they are looking to appoint a site based Document Controller to support the successful delivery of a flagship project in Central London. As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing all project documentation and ensuring information is controlled, distributed and maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.


Working closely with the project team and main contractor, you will support document management processes and ensure all documentation is issued and tracked in line with project requirements. You will become part of an established Document Control team and report directly to the Head of Document Control.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Managing and maintaining all project documentation in line with company procedures.

·      Uploading, distributing and tracking drawings, specifications, technical submissions and project correspondence.

·      Liaising with the main contractor and subcontractors to ensure documentation is issued and received correctly.

·      Maintaining document registers and ensuring version control is adhered to at all times.

·      Assisting with the management of O&M manuals and handover documentation.

·      Monitoring workflows and ensuring project information is processed within required timescales.

·      Supporting project teams with document control processes and system administration.

·      Ensuring documentation is accurately filed and readily available when required.

·      Internal company system is SharePoint.


Requirements:

·      Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction, M&E or building services sector.

·      Experience working on site-based construction projects.

·      Strong understanding of document control procedures and version control.

·      Experience using document management systems such as Procore, Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, 4Projects or similar platforms.

·      Confident liaising with project teams, subcontractors and main contractors.

·      Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

·      Strong communication and administrative skills.
