We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join its Performing Arts department. This school is committed to delivering high-quality creative education and encouraging students to develop confidence, communication skills and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Job Overview:
- Full-time, Monday - Friday Drama Teacher role.
- Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons.
- Encourage students to develop performance, communication and collaborative skills.
- Direct and support school productions, performances and extracurricular activities.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts department and wider school team.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
This Drama Teacher role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and ambitious school environment, with a strong focus on professional development and career progression. You will play a key role in inspiring students, developing their confidence and helping them express themselves creatively.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
- A passion for theatre, performance and creative learning.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners of all abilities.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
