Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and performance skills.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Organise and support school productions, performances, and enrichment activities.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and the Performing Arts department.
Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support student achievement.
Person Specification
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, or a related subject.
Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
