Monday to Friday, 5:00am start – finish (dependent on deliveries)
Pay: £13.05 - £13.44 per hour + overtime available

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established company based in Bury St Edmunds who are looking to expand their delivery support team.

As a Drivers Mate, you will work alongside a driver assisting with the delivery and distribution of goods to various customer locations.

This is a physically demanding role requiring manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the day.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Manual handling of heavy goods during multi-drop deliveries
• Supporting the driver in completing daily delivery routes
• Checking goods upon delivery to ensure accuracy and quality
• Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
• Following all health & safety procedures and company guidelines
• Working as part of a team to meet daily delivery targets

Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
• Comfortable with early starts (5:00am)
• Good communication and team-working skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
