Job Overview:

  • We are recruiting for Early Years Practitioners to join the Children's Centres team.
  • You will provide education, care, and supervision for children in an early years setting, preparing and delivering early learning activities to ensure children's developmental needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to daily operations including curriculum delivery, safeguarding, health and safety, and record keeping.
  • Provide full care and supervision for children, working with primary school staff to deliver integrated care and education.
  • Implement operational policies in line with OFSTED standards.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and uphold equalities and inclusion policies.
  • Work in partnership with multi-agency teams including network childminders.
  • Attend planning and staff meetings.
  • Support marketing and community engagement with parents and local schools.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in early years practice (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with children in an early years environment.
  • Knowledge of current early years principles, practice, and legislation including safeguarding.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities.
  • Ability to work flexibly including evenings, breakfast times, and occasional weekends.
  • Physical fitness for early years tasks including lifting and carrying.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
