Job Overview:
- We are recruiting for Early Years Practitioners to join the Children's Centres team.
- You will provide education, care, and supervision for children in an early years setting, preparing and delivering early learning activities to ensure children's developmental needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to daily operations including curriculum delivery, safeguarding, health and safety, and record keeping.
- Provide full care and supervision for children, working with primary school staff to deliver integrated care and education.
- Implement operational policies in line with OFSTED standards.
- Promote high standards of behaviour and uphold equalities and inclusion policies.
- Work in partnership with multi-agency teams including network childminders.
- Attend planning and staff meetings.
- Support marketing and community engagement with parents and local schools.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in early years practice (or equivalent).
- Experience of working with children in an early years environment.
- Knowledge of current early years principles, practice, and legislation including safeguarding.
- Commitment to equal opportunities.
- Ability to work flexibly including evenings, breakfast times, and occasional weekends.
- Physical fitness for early years tasks including lifting and carrying.
- Strong organisational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
