We’re looking for a talented and motivated EC&I Engineer to join our growing team at MARCH. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across regulated and process-driven industries, contributing to innovative engineering solutions while developing your technical expertise.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical and control system designs, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality electrical and control designs, maintaining consistency and best practice standards throughout
  • Review client documentation (P&IDs, URS, I/O lists, instrument schedules) to define system requirements
  • Conduct site surveys to assess and develop integration solutions
  • Specify and support the design of control panels, liaising closely with workshop teams
  • Work across a range of technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, and drives (both modern and legacy systems)
  • Produce detailed technical documentation (I/O schedules, hardware specs, cable and termination schedules)
  • Specify and cost electrical equipment and hardware
  • Review and approve electrical schematics to ensure compliance and functionality
  • Support FAT/PDI testing and validation against client requirements
  • Supervise site activities and coordinate subcontractors
  • Test and commission systems safely within live operational environments
  • Ensure compliance with company processes and the Integrated Management System

 

Skills, Experiences & Qualifications:

  • HNC (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in controls and automation
  • Experience across industries such as Food & Beverage, Pharma, Water, Chemical, or Process
  • Variable Speed Drives (specification, configuration, commissioning)
  • Motor starters (DOL, Star/Delta, Soft Start)
  • BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations
  • BS EN (phone number removed) Machinery Safety Standards
  • Functional Safety (ISO EN(phone number removed) / IEC 62061) – desirable
  • SSSTS – desirable
  • Strong technical problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
